Description
Pulled pork is a classic meal that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Freeze drying locks in flavour and gives this pork a shelf life of up to 25 years. The pork is extremely lightweight, making it a breeze to carry along for backpacking or in a go-bag. As with all freeze-dried food, this pork is shelf-stable and can be kept at room temperature.
One cup of freeze dried pulled pork is approximately 70 grams.
If you don’t have buns handy for a traditional pulled pork sandwich, you can also add freeze dried pulled pork to a variety of recipes. Add some sweetness and extra protein to: stews, soups, or tacos. Speaking of protein, this pulled pork boasts over 20g of protein in a half-cup serving (about the right amount for one sandwich.)
